The Easy Pace tours are still there: they've just had a name change. You can find them under: Select by Insight which they define as:
quote:
Select provides itinerary flexibility by allowing you to leave your tour early or travel on the entire journey. You are able to manage your day entirely as you wish. Select is ideal for independent travellers.

They even have their own brochure, as well as being listed near the back of the main brochure and a special website.

Hi Phil,

Thanks so much for pointing me in the right direction SmilerI did type in "Easy Pace" and nothing came up so I stopped looking !!

The new select tours look excellent and I especially like the 10 day Paris to Nice. It is so good I'd highly consider returning as an Insight customer, as they do run the best tours (I can compare Smiler).

Langers, the Paris to Nice Select tour sounds like the Easy Pace France tour that I just did. I can tell you - it was wonderful!! I am editing my journal and will put it on the site this week. Still have Easy Pace Italy to go. A bit hard to get it all done, work has been busy. Must get it done before I take off on my 'working' holiday.

It certainly looks like Select France is the same as Easy Pace France with at least one important difference - you can choose the length of your itinerary:

  1. Paris to Nimes
  2. Paris to Nimes with FREE transfer to Nice
  3. Paris to Nice - full tour

I have today included a new "Insight Select" tour page in the Where Are All the Tales? topic and moved all past "Easy Pace" journals into this section.

Thanks Phil for the links and these tours look ideal for enjoying the beauty of Southern France with flexibility of sightseeing options.

Gen, I am very much looking forward to reading both your tales. May I ask a VERY difficult question, as I know your passion for Italy, which tour did you prefer?

You must be so excited about your plans for 2010, maybe it will be my turn in 2020 Smiler

No contest. Country Roads of Italy. I did a tour tale on it. I did like the Easy Pace Italy tour, but Country Roads was mmmh mmmh. I'd do it again. Special places were Positano, Capri, Orvieto, Perugia, Cortona, Assisi, Pienza and Montepulciano. You also go to Rome, Florence, and Venice which are the usual top spots in Italy. I think though perhaps I would really like to do more of Southern Italy and spend more time on the Amalfi Coast. My plans are all starting to come together for 2010. All I need is a job!

Gennevive, your answer is not at all surprising Smiler I too loved Southern Italy very much and if I return to Italy (I certainly hope so) I will definitely spend more time on the Amalfi Coast and visit Capri again Ohhh Capri, I loved it there !! I would also like to see Sicily, they say it is beautiful and has more Greek ruins than Greece Smiler

Good luck with the job !!

Langers, you never know, we may end up on that same trip. I want to go to Sicily too. Might be a couple of years. Depends on whether or not I get a job in UK. Evenyone I know tells me that with my experience I will just walk into a job. I guess they have not heard of the economic downturn!!

I am still waiting for Insight to send me next year's brochure. I am sure I usually have recieved it by now in the past.

When do you plan to travel next?

I received mine in the mail from Insight last week and some others on the BB have posted that they received their's the week prior. If you are handy to a travel agency, might be worth a visit just to pick up the brochure(s)
