Just finished the European Heritage tour that ran from July 5th-August 11th. It was AMAZING! Big Grin We absolutely loved it! So many of us weren't ready to come home even after being away for 6 weeks. I'm going to work on my tour tale and hopefully be able to post it soon.

Victoria R-I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED this tour!!!! Every day was an adventure and there was no best part. Absolutely the best time ever and my tour mates were a big part of it in addition to our TD, Jonathan Newsam Wink . Yes, Croatia is a place I want to return to and Mykonos, Santorini, Positano and the Amalfi coast had absolutely the most stunning views. Now, I want to go back and I just got home on August 13th! I'm working on a "tour tale" but it is a lot of work as I am also trying to sort through my pictures and start my scrap book at the same time. Glad to hear you enjoyed your tours also and I look forward to reading your tour tale also.

Hi Annie,

While you wait for the official Insight Tour Tales perhaps I may provide a lo-cost tip for each of these Islands .... based on our recent cruising experiences.

Mykonos
Far too far to walk from most of the cruise berths so take a Shuttle Bus if provided by the cruise ship else take a taxi for the couple of miles to the sea front. Once there walk left by the seafront as far as the 5 distant windmills ( via Little Venice ) then come back through the old town to see the 'beautiful people'.

Santorini
Up in the lift, to the top - then head uphill through the village and keep on going upwards til you reach the blue topped domes and the most gorgeous views, and pics!! After that head back down again and turn left just before the lift towards the rather tatty main street with all the cafes and souvenir shops.

Either way get out and about and walk til you drop.

VictoriaR-I am finished writing my tour tale. It took forever to type because it was such a long tour. Now I just have to post it so plan on doing that soon. I hope it will bring back fond memories for those BB'ers who have taken it.
