Hi Jeni,
Was wondering if you heard about the ticketmaster website in london. I went on there and they actually post your theatre tickets out to you so you don't have to worry about them. I haven't ordered any yet but am trying to make up my mind the best way to do it. Would any one else out there have used this method. thanks chris |

I have thought about using this site too, so I would also be interested in hearing from anyone who has used this. Usually I rely on a good friend of mine who lives in England to organise my tickets.

Hi all,
I went on the ticketmaster site last evening and purchased tickets for wicked (you have to open an account which was the same way I do it in oz so that was no trouble) it was so easy we printed our own tickets on there new system and we didn't pay postage I found it really great and I wont have to worry about it when we arrive. I would recommend this to any one wanting west end tickets regards chris |

Hi Chris, I was in London in November for a week. I had been there last year with Insight and loved the city so much I decided to go for a week this fall, just to see London. You can pick up tickets to any show playing in London (and there are lot) in Leicester Square. The booths see discounted tickets for shows on that day. Since you are going in an off season tickets should be easy to get. The booths are all around the square so easy to find. The square is within easy walking distance from most of the downtown area or catch the Picadilly tube. I saw "Wicked" and loved it. I also bought tickets on line before I went to a show at the Royal Albert Hall. Check that out too. The theatre is fabulous, something not to be missed while in London. Good luck, you will love it. Maggie.

Chris,
One of the best shows in London right now is "Billy Elliot". It is heartwarning and uplifting. Try to get tickets - you will not regret it. Have a good trip. |

I agree with MaggieMay and Loves2Travel-I'm not really into the shows but went to Billy Elliot and Wicked, in 2007, with my theatre geek daughter and absolutely loved both of them! There is nothing like sitting in a London theatre taking in a show. There are so many to choose from but I would highly recommend both

Hi Dispirit,
I would recommend anyone who has the opportunity to go and see a show in the west end, we saw Wicked and it was amazing, I'd also recommend Jersey boys, was going to see that as well but we ran out of time. All I can say is our trip was amazing we loved London and we did the britain and Ireland Explorer and also the European Splendour both were great. We were very lucky to have Paul Fisher as our tour guide in Britain and he was great. As for buying the tickets you can wait till you arrive and go to piccadilly square where they have cheap tickets, but I opted to purchase them through ticketmaster in london they were great got good seats and printed them out on our own computer. Also I would recommend the London Pass with Travel it was fantastic we saw so many things and we'd already paid before we left. anyrate hope this has helped, if you need any more info just let us know. Happy traveller chrisk |
