Hi everyone, I'm a newbie to Insight vacations and to package tours and it will also be my first time to Europe and i am travelling alone as well. Anyone else on this tour also travelling alone? We may be sharing rooms!

Any advice will be appreciated with regards to the sort of options I should take in terms of walk-abts myself ard the hotels and all.

Also, it would be great to get a list of pp who are also going on this tour to also log your names in, so we can do a little introduction beforehand.

I understand the tour will be a full one, so will definitely be good to get to know you all here!

Hi Travel Cookie, welcome. Looking forward to meeting you in London. There are now six of us on the tour from Melbourne, and two from NSW, so that's nearly 25% of us travellers on the tour which is going to be such fun... we have got our documentation from our TA as we are heading off to Greece and the islands on another Insight tour first, so when you get your paperwork from TA have a look at the options list, although not all will be offered due to time constraints etc. If you take all the optionals offered you will be left with little 'free' time yourself. With the hotels listed from the brochure, they are mostly the same, except for Rome, which now is the Cicerone Hotel, so just google them to get some info. Also google in Trip Advisor if you want. The tour was listed as a definite around May/April and I noticed was listed on red hot specials so if it is a full tour, they must have filled their quota. Only 11 sleeps for us now, very excited and have packed already. Cheers for now, and see you in London!

Thanks for your reply. It's great to know some you before the trip itseld. Hope your Greece leg of the trip turns out well too.

I've been sent an email that the hotel in Venice will also be changed to the Des Bains Hotel Venice at Lungomare Marconi 17 Venice Lido Resort, instead of the original hotel.

I was not informed that the hotel in Rome has changed. In any case, definitely appreciate your input.

All right I guess I shall have to see you all on first day of the trip then. Have a good one..only about 2 more weeks to go for me..yay!
