I'll sometimes log in while I'm checking out the board but I haven't seen anyone in there for ages.
Mind you, I used to be on the board much later at night than the time that I now visit. Smiler

I sometimes log into the chatroom and leave it open while I am scanning through the BB but most tims there is no one there these days. Although about a week ago we had 3 people in there. Smiler

Pauline and dragon we use to come here at the week ends and spend an hour or so chatting about our up coming tours or wanting to know how to find something out may be about transport or what to expect. While we were on some people popped in for a few minutes to find out anything. The chat room can be useful at times.

I will admit I don't check that often to see if any body is on but last week I checked quiet a few time and no one was there or even came on to see.

We even had 14 in the chatroom at once on one occassion. Big Grin

By the way, I have been in there for the past few minutes and while I see you are on the Board, you haven't come into the chatroom today. Wink Big Grin

For the last month or so, I have not been successful in getting onto the chat room. The chat window pops up and starts to load but then it goes blank (see attachment). The problem happens whether I use Internet Explorer 8 or Firefox 3.0.10. I am using Adobe Flash Player 10,0,22,87 and JRE 6 Update 13. I thought I would post my issue online to see if anyone else is experiencing the same problems with the chatroom.

We have today checked the Chatroom and can see no obvious reason that would prevent some of you from logging in.

There are other BBers in the chatroom who do not appear to have a problem getting in so it may be something to do with the software you are using etc.

Sorry I cannot help any further at this stage.

John, there were 3 of us in the chatroom without problems for about 45 minutes earlier today.

When Patrick first experienced the problem about a month ago we assumed that it was the most common problem of simply needing to install Flashplayer but after he downloaded and installed the latest version he still cannot get into the chatroom.

However I do recall experiencing a similar problem myself about a year or so ago and as I recall I had to totally uninstall Flash, reboot and then do a full fresh install (rather than just installing the new version as an update).

Pat, you might try doing an uninstall then installing the latest version of Flash and see if that works.

Dragon is spot on but due to recent technical changes you can only do the uninstal via the Adobe website.
